Looking pretty wasted, during the break in the lifting and shifting at the auction, but now relieved of the heavy responsibilities of taking care of the hall and park as trustee and then chairman of the charity for over fifteen years, Larry Winger poses in post-modern ironic mode for a Madame Tussaud’s wax work before returning to the fray. He says that volunteering is one of the most fulfilling things anyone can do in life, apart from laughing at oneself, and he recommends the challenge to anyone looking for a useful, contributive role in the community.

The Village Hall is run by volunteer trustees, elected at the AGM in the spring, or delegated from user groups, or co-opted. If you want to get involved, or you have skills that you can offer, please contact Catherine Stirling-Hill.
