Special thanks to the Allendale Lions for organising this lovely Carols in the Square event, to the Backworth Colliery Band for providing such excellent musicality, to the Allendale Fire Brigade for providing lights and a real sense of occasion with their appliance, to all the great singers who made the evening such a delight,  to vicar Jonathan Russell for opening the proceedings, to the village hall for providing the chairs for the band to sit upon, and to Gloria and Ian of the Golden Lion for a great supper after the event!
